Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Los Angeles Blockbusters and Denver Burros.

The Los Angeles Blockbusters topped the Denver Burros, 4-3, in National Baseball League action at Blockbuster Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Los Angeles pitcher Ron LePiane. The Burros, now 66-58, have lost 4 in a row.

Had it not been for John Horvath, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Blockbusters were trailing 3-2, Horvath hit a 2-run single for Los Angeles, giving his team the lead.

"Ron was throwing free and easy," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
