Palmer goes 3-for-4 in Packers Win
The Cincinnati Packers beat the New York Knickerbockers, 9-6, at Knickerbocker Stadium. The Packers got a fine performance from left fielder Glenn Palmer, who was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Fernando Lopez got the win, improving to 8-15. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 0. The last-place Packers now sit at 51-72.
