Dominant Performance by Lott in St. Louis Win
The St. Louis Explorers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dick Lott, who muffled the Denver offense en route to a tight, 1-0 Explorers win at Corps of Discovery Stadium. Bernie Tate earned save number 31 this season. At 59-63, the Explorers find themselves in 6th place in the National Baseball League Western Division.

Lott confounded Denver hitters. Over 7 innings, he allowed no runs on 1 hit.
