|
Denver first baseman Alejandro Rebolledo had a 4-RBI game, which proved instrumental to his team beating the St. Louis Explorers, 7-2. Rebolledo picked up 1 single and 2 doubles in the ballgame. Bob Langham, who finished 3rd in the NBL in saves with 26 in 1972, was the winner. He's now 10-8. The loser was Bob Trout. Denver improves to 73-50 with the win. They lead their division by 5 games.
Denver second baseman Kevin Gunn contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 103rd hit of the season and put the Burros ahead, 1-0.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rebolledo told the Denver Times.
