Hurons Throttle Empires, 5-1

The Toronto Hurons locked up a win at Queens Field, knocking off the New York Empires, 5-1. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Joe Scott. He played a major role in the triumph. At 59-64, the Hurons are currently 4th in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.
Jorge Luna came through with a big-time hit for Toronto. The center fielder smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Luna said.
