Twin Cities Gets 3-2 Win
Twin Cities beat Houston at Sam Houston Field, escaping with a 3-2 win. The win in large part was due to pitcher Edwin Gonzalez. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 runs. Gonzalez got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. Gonzalez allowed 1 run. Curt Kirkley was credited with the save for Twin Cities, his 15th of the season.

Twin Cities used the timely hitting of Steve Garcia to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Northmen ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"This was a tough loss," said Houston manager Steven Palps. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

The win puts Twin Cities at 50-72.
