Due in large part to right fielder Roberto Salazar, the Seattle Emeralds sunk the Los Angeles Pobladores, 6-4. Salazar was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The 5th-place Emeralds improved to 53-69.

Seattle first baseman Rob Sylvia contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Emeralds ahead, 2-0.

Salazar called the win "an overall solid one."
