Generals Victorious at Baltimore, 6-3
|
Bill Davis, who finished 3rd in the ABL in innings pitched with 255.2 last year, had a strong outing for the Atlanta Generals against the Baltimore Lords at Seton Hill Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. The Generals, at 63-58, sit in third place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ron Bullins? The 24-year old catcher Bullins stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Atlanta up, 5-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Bullins said.
