The Denver Burros beat the Milwaukee Dairymen, 6-2, at Gates Crescent Park. Chuck Carr, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1974, starred for Denver. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. John Suozzo earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-4. Denver has run its win streak to 6 consecutive.

Jim Bitting hit a run-scoring double off Tom Rockliffe in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Burros in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Bitting had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

"We've got a great group of guys," Bitting said, "and we're having fun right now."
