The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at Dominion Field, knocking off the Toronto Hurons, 5-3. On the mound for Dallas was right-hander Steve Coomes, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Hurons fall to 5-8 and continue their uninspiring start to the 1967 season.

John Darnell, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Darnell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Dallas up, 1-0.

"We'll savor this win," Coomes told the Dallas Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
