Dallas Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
Ken Torkelson imposed his will on the Wranglers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 Boston triumph. At 57-68, the Terriers claim 6th place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.
The Terriers got a big at-bat from left fielder Gary Williams. For the game, Williams went 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Boston a 1-0 lead.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Williams told the Boston Times. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
