The New York Knickerbockers defeated the Kansas City Bulls, 9-5, at Knickerbocker Stadium. New York right fielder Bob Underwood had a superb performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Bob Brion, credited with the win in relief, is now 6-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Ollie Hundley notched his 24th save in 29 chances.

Bob Marston contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. His at-bat helped New York get the win.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Marston said.

New York now has a record of 71-54 with the win.
