Conway, Bluebirds Finish Off Knickerbockers, 6-1
|
The Brooklyn Bluebirds went home winners at Knickerbocker Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Dick Conway. Conway stifled the New York Knickerbockers, enabling Brooklyn to grab the 6-1 win. The win gives Brooklyn a season record of 63-63.
Conway, who is tied for 9th in the NBL with a 9 complete games, pitched a complete game for Brooklyn. Conway surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 6. With the win, he moves to 17-6 on the season.
