Los Angeles Shut Out by Davis
|
Bill Davis was in a mood to talk following the Atlanta Generals contest against the Los Angeles Pobladores, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Pobladores, 6-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Davis said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Los Angeles on a 3-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 11 strikeouts.
This year, Davis has a 10-9 record with a 2.78 ERA in 27 starts.
