The Cincinnati Packers stopped the Washington Eagles, 9-4, at Roman Arena. The Packers got a big game from Jerry Anderson, who went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The misery continues for the Eagles, who have now dropped 10 in a row.

Anderson had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth to put Cincinnati in front, 4-2. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Washington pitcher Alex Fonseca.
