Moret Excels, Denver Blows Out Chicago
The Denver Burros and Chicago Traders completed their game despite the rain.

Due in large part to right fielder Guillaume Moret, the Denver Burros sunk the Chicago Traders, 13-3. Moret was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Dave Pelton was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Larry Cox.

Chuck Carr, who is tied for 4th in the NBL in RBI with 13, took Chicago hurler Larry Cox deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Burros on top, 4-1. In all, Carr had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Carr told the Denver Times. "It's as simple as that."

The loss drops Chicago to 9-4.
