The Los Angeles Pobladores beat the Montreal Habitants, 7-4, in 10 innings at LaSalle Stadium. Los Angeles right fielder Marty Berberet had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Los Angeles is now 57-69, Montreal 59-68.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Costen Judy came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Montreal pitcher Hervé Lelièvre, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Los Angeles on top, 5-4.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Judy.
