|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Roger McCoy, the Dallas Wranglers defeated the Los Angeles Pobladores, 3-1. McCoy went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Wranglers. Dario Perez was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Frank Dunn earned the save for Dallas, his 2nd.
With Dallas leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, McCoy hit a changeup from Jimmy Bell for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Wranglers ahead, 2-0.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Kurt Peterson.
Los Angeles falls to 6-7.
