Traders Losing Streak at 8 After Extra-Inning Loss to Dairymen
Chicago wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jack Storey, falling to the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-4. Storey threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The winner in relief was Lou Leavitt. He is now 6-10. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Chicago has now lost 8 in a row.

Clyde Barry made it 5-4 in favor of Milwaukee when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the 12th. The Dairymen went on to win.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Larry Link, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
