Getting a good performance from shortstop Buddy Shingleton, the Twin Cities Northmen defeated the Toronto Hurons, 7-6. Shingleton was 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Northmen. Twin Cities pitcher Brian Williams got the win. He's now 6-7. Dave Hamilton was tagged with the loss. Twin Cities now sports a record of 60-68.

Mark Clark went 1 for 4, while adding 3 RBI for Twin Cities. The 30-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dave Hamilton. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
