Wright Spins Masterpiece, No-Hits Los Angeles
|
San Francisco is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Reggie Wright.
The 23-year-old hurler was dominating against the Los Angeles Pobladores, leading the Seagulls to a 9-0 win at Mission Field today.
"I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game."
Wright had 3 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk en route to the no-hitter.
"Yeah, this was a special day for me," Wright said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today."
