Los Angeles and San Diego duked it out and the Blockbusters came out victorious.

The Los Angeles Blockbusters racked up a win at San Diego Sporting Complex, bumping off the San Diego Captains, 5-2. Syed Farooqi, who started for Los Angeles, pitched effectively for his team. In 7 innings, Farooqi surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The save was credited to Fred Wild, his 1st.

Tom Adams, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Adams contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Los Angeles up, 3-1.

The loss makes San Diego 0-2.
