Boston got a terrific game from center fielder Eddie Hernandez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Dallas, 6-5, in 17 innings. Hernandez was 4-5 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Wranglers now have a mark of 64-64.

Ron Palmer drew 2 walks for Dallas. The 31-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 17th. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Red Topic. It was his 17th walk of the season.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Palmer.
