Wiley Bewilders Wranglers in 2-0 Shutout
|
In a very sharp performance at Bluff Park, Paul Wiley of the Boston Terriers blanked the Dallas Wranglers, 2-0. He permitted 3 hits and finished with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the Terriers victory.
"Paul goes out there and just goes about his business," Terriers manager Joe Peters said in his postgame press conference. "I don't think he gets too concerned about what's going on. No matter the pitch, you know he's going to be where he needs to be."
This season Wiley has worked 196 innings with 140 strikeouts en route to a 13-5 record and a 2.20 ERA.
