Wranglers Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
The Dallas Wranglers faced a tough opponent in San Francisco pitcher Jerry Patrick, but found a way to pull out the victory at Bluff Park by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Patrick went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Dallas reliever Vern Gould picked up the win, upping his record to 5-11. Dave Maughan absorbed the loss. The win gives Dallas a season record of 65-65.

The Wranglers got a clutch hit from shortstop Mike Weatherby. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wranglers.

"This place was rocking at the end," Weatherby said.
