Burros Pull Out Late Win, 7-6
The Denver Burros defeated the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 7-6, in National Baseball League action at Gates Crescent Park. Denver pitcher Bob Langham had a standout performance. The winner was Paul Massey in relief. His record improves to 3-5. John Bailey took the loss. Los Angeles has now lost 5 consecutive games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jim Bitting in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 11-year veteran John Bailey to win the game for Denver. The home crowd went nuts.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Bitting.
