Habitants Lose, 5-4, in 10
Though he had a stellar game, Jerry Sullivan could not prevent his team, the Montreal Habitants, from losing, 5-4, to the New York Empires. Sullivan was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Danilo Molina was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 10 save opportunities. The 67-63 Empires lead the American Baseball League Eastern Division by one game.

New York used the timely hitting of Jerry Olsen to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Empires on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Big win," said Olsen.
