Dairymen Rack Up 5-1 Win Versus Washington
|
With left fielder Angel Gutierrez leading the charge, the Milwaukee Dairymen defeated the Washington Eagles, 5-1, at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Gutierrez was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Tom Rockliffe. He's now 6-7. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits for the Dairymen. Milwaukee has now won 3 straight, while the Eagles have lost 5 in a row.
Early in the game, Gutierrez had a 3-run home run for Milwaukee. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Dairymen on top, 3-0.
