Bluebirds, Gaultney Blank Cleveland, 6-0
|
In a remarkable performance, Brooklyn Bluebirds starter Dave Gaultney beat the Cleveland Bobcats, 6-0, in an impressive 5-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Bluebirds hurler finished with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Cleveland manager Daniel Mays said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
On the season, Gaultney has a 7-8 record with a 3.73 ERA.
