The timely hitting of Booker Lee helped the Detroit Wolverines down the Boston Terriers, 4-3. Lee was 2-3 with a home run and a walk for the Wolverines. Jim Bryant, who finished 5th in the ABL in innings pitched with 255.2 in 1967, was the winner. He's now 11-8. The loser was Tim Jepperson. Alfredo Morales converted his 5th save in 8 tries.

Emil Wathen had a big run-scoring triple for the Wolverines in the bottom of the third inning. With Detroit leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Jepperson and swatted a triple to right. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wolverines ahead, 4-1.

Wathen attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."

After today's action, Detroit sits at 72-61, while Boston falls to 61-71.
