The Denver Burros defeated the Chicago Traders, 10-3. Center Fielder Jim Bitting deserved a large share of the credit. Bitting went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Burros. Doug Keene was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
