Bulls Need Extra Innings to Top Knickerbockers, 4-2
|
The Kansas City Bulls and New York Knickerbockers put on quite a show.
The Kansas City Bulls handed the New York Knickerbockers a 4-2 defeat in 10 innings at Knickerbocker Stadium. Center Fielder Haskell McLemore starred for Kansas City. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Ron Bargiel was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Rod Kremer? The 32-year old first baseman Kremer stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put Kansas City up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"There's no quit in this team," said Bulls manager DD Martin.
Kansas City has now won 3 in a row.
