Crosby Hurls Bulls to 6-0 Shutout Win
|
It wasn't easy but the Kansas City Bulls made it look that way.
Starter Bob Crosby shut out the New York Knickerbockers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Kansas City Bulls cruised to victory, 6-0. Crosby allowed only 7 hits and rang up 7 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
To date this season, Crosby has registered 27 starts, 10-11 won-lost mark, 3.50 ERA, 195.2 IP, 91 strikeouts and 99 walks. Opposing teams have hit .245 against him.
