Bulls 5-3 Victors Over New York
|
The Kansas City Bulls downed the New York Knickerbockers, 5-3, at Independence Field. The Bulls were led by Haskell McLemore. McLemore was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Today's win puts Kansas City at 73-60, while New York falls to 74-61.
McLemore had a timely hit for Kansas City in the bottom of the seventh. With Kansas City trailing 3-1, he turned a first pitch fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 25th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Kansas City.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," McLemore told the Kansas City News.
