Keiser Now 9-6 After Subduing Knickerbockers
|
The Brooklyn Bluebirds beat the New York Knickerbockers, 6-0, at Flatbush Park. Starting pitcher Bill Keiser was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The 5th-place Knickerbockers have dropped 4 straight games.
Keiser was in the zone all game. He frustrated New York hitters while giving the Bluebirds 8 innings of quality work. Keiser threw 114 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Keiser said after the game.
