Arndt Goes Distance in 5-1 Win
|
Los Angeles Pobladores starter Jim Arndt turned in a top-notch performance against the Montreal Habitants at LaSalle Stadium. The result was a win for the Pobladores, 5-1. With the win over Montreal, the Pobladores improved to 73-64.
Arndt was in the zone all game. He frustrated Montreal hitters while giving the Pobladores 9 innings of quality work. Arndt threw 112 pitches, allowing 7 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
