Bobcats Upend Eagles, 4-1
Wet weather did not postpone the Cleveland-Washington ballgame.

Cleveland Bobcats starter Scott Dubyak turned in an exceptional performance against the Washington Eagles at Monument Field, resulting in a Cleveland win, 4-1. In 6.1 innings, Dubyak surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.

Tom Crowell, who finished 2nd in the NBL in triples with 14 in 1972, had a direct impact on the outcome. Crowell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Cleveland up, 2-1.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Bobcats manager Daniel Mays.

The loss makes Washington 47-90.
