Twin Cities Stadium was the site for American Baseball League action featuring the Toronto Hurons and Twin Cities Northmen.

Twin Cities beat Toronto on the strength of starting pitcher Ben Hall's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-3. Hall picked up the win for Twin Cities, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 12-8.

Darrell Miller had a big 2-run double for the Northmen in the bottom of the third inning. With Twin Cities trailing 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from Ben Immel, who finished 2nd in the ABL in wins with 17 in 1964, and swatted a double to right. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Northmen ahead, 4-3.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.

Twin Cities has now won 3 straight, while the Hurons have lost 3 in a row.
