Shone Deals Washington 3-0 Setback
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Los Angeles Blockbusters and Washington Eagles came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Los Angeles Blockbusters beat the Washington Eagles, 3-0, at Monument Field. Starting pitcher Bruce Shone was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The Blockbusters now have a record of 62-83 with the win over Washington.

Shone earned the win to move to 8-7. In his 8.2-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 7 and walking 2. The right-hander allowed the Eagles few scoring opportunities.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Shone. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
