Joe Scott, who finished 2nd in the ABL in innings pitched with 263.2 in 1969, propelled his team to victory over the Los Angeles Pobladores. The final score was 3-2, Toronto. Toronto is now 65-74, while Los Angeles is 74-66.

Mike Walker had a big 2-run double for the Hurons in the bottom of the first inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Bob Powell, who is tied for 9th in the ABL with a 6.1 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hurons ahead, 3-0.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Scott said.
