Boston third baseman Zach Hodge helped his team beat the Houston Drillers, 11-6. Hodge went 2 for 3 for the Terriers. The third-place Terriers have won 4 consecutive games.

Lou Ward, who is a two-time All-Star, took Houston hurler Jerry Zaruba deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Terriers on top, 4-2. In all, Ward had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.
