Drillers Turn Back Habitants, 3-1
|
Bill Switzer pitched a dandy of a game to help the Houston Drillers beat the Montreal Habitants, 3-1. After today's action, Houston sits at 81-59, while Montreal falls to 70-71.
The Drillers got a big at-bat from center fielder Mark Sisson. For the game, Sisson went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Houston a 2-0 lead.
Sisson attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
