The Denver Burros defeated the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 6-3, at Gates Crescent Park. Denver was led by 26-year old catcher Manuel Andrade, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Burros have an impressive 93-50 record.

Denver shortstop Chuck Carr helped the Burros go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Carr hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles pitcher Billy Duprey.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Carr.
