Bill May knocked in 3 runs to help Pittsburgh beat Cleveland, 14-1. May produced 2 singles, 1 double, and 1 home run. Ron Winder got the win, improving to 15-6. He held the Bobcats to 1 run on 3 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2.

The Industrials picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Daniel Mays.

Pittsburgh is now 87-53, 13 games up in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.
