Industrials Come Back Late, Nip Bobcats
|
Allegheny Field was the site of a competitive game between the Cleveland Bobcats and Pittsburgh Industrials.
Pittsburgh Industrials starter Ron Winder turned in a top-notch performance against the Cleveland Bobcats at Allegheny Field. The result was a win for the Industrials, 2-1. Pittsburgh pitcher Bob Cole got the win, upping his record to 4-4. Roger Scherf got the loss.
Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead on Terry McClellan's 29th double of the season. The 2-run double, which McClellan hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cleveland pitcher Roger Scherf visibly frustrated.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Winder.
Pittsburgh now has a record of 81-60 with the win.
