Though he had a terrific game, Roger McCoy could not prevent his team, the Dallas Wranglers, from absorbing a loss. Twin Cities won the game, 7-6. McCoy went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Twin Cities reliever Gary Forgette snagged the win, upping his record to 9-10. Vern Gould shouldered the loss. With the win over Dallas, the Northmen improved to 63-81.

Chris Berman was the walk-off hero for Twin Cities. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Northmen third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd was juiced," said Berman.
