The Pittsburgh Industrials picked up a win at Allegheny Field, knocking off the Cleveland Bobcats, 3-2. Starting pitcher Bob Briggs played a key role in the triumph. The loss drops the Bobcats to 0-2.

Carlos Chavez drove in one run for Pittsburgh. The six-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bruce Cardenas. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Briggs.
