Branam Whips Washington, 8-0
|
Jim Branam was dynamite at Allegheny Field, blowing away the Washington Eagles in a shutout victory. The Pittsburgh Industrials starter had everything working as he held the Eagles to 3 hits in the 8-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Washington skipper Brandon Tucker. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Branam finished the game with 1 strikeout and 2 walks.
To date, Branam has a 4-4 mark in 2 starts with a 4.61 ERA. He has given up 72 hits in 66.1 innings, struck out 17 and issued 29 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .278 batting average against him.
