Dairymen Handle Chicago, Snag 4-1 Win
|
The Milwaukee Dairymen racked up a win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, bumping off the Chicago Traders, 4-1. Bob Brion, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, the Dairymen have a record of 65-79.
Larry Morford had a big 2-run double for the Dairymen in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Jose Mojica, who led the NBL in ERA with 2.38 in 1975, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 28th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dairymen ahead, 4-1.
Brion said his team "played with a purpose."
