Blockbusters Fall to Hardaway and Bulls, 3-0
|
Independence Field was the site for National Baseball League action featuring the Los Angeles Blockbusters and Kansas City Bulls.
In a low-scoring affair between the Kansas City Bulls and the Los Angeles Blockbusters, pitcher Waldo Hardaway was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kansas City right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Bulls win. Bob Crosby recorded the save, his 37th.
Hardaway allowed no runs on 6 hits over 8.2 innings for the Bulls. He walked 1 and struck out 8.
"Waldo did a good job keeping the game under control," said Kansas City manager DD Martin.
The Bulls, at 84-61, sit in second place in the National Baseball League Western Division.
