Bobcats Fall Short, 2-1, at New York
|
The New York Knickerbockers converted a terrific effort from starter Jack Forbes into a win over the Cleveland Bobcats at Knickerbocker Stadium. The Knickerbockers won the game by a final score of 2-1. The Knickerbockers bumped their record to 77-67 with this latest triumph.
Rick Hotz helped out the New York cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said New York skipper Timothy Widholm.
