Packers Need Extra Innings to Top Industrials, 1-0
Cincinnati and Pittsburgh left the crowd in suspense until the last at-bat.

Cincinnati pitcher Ramon Juarez was good. Really good. He twirled a 5-hit shutout to beat the Pittsburgh Industrials, 1-0. Juarez, now 11-13, was the winner. In 10 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing no runs.

The Packers procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Doug Stewart. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Ramon was throwing free and easy," said Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch.

The 6th-place Packers have a record of 69-77.
