Los Angeles Blockbusters pitcher Billy Duprey was in fine form, leading his team past the San Diego Captains, 8-1. Los Angeles is now 71-75, San Diego 89-57.

Early in the game, shortstop Pedro Villamil had a 2-run double for Los Angeles. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Blockbusters on top, 2-0.

"Billy did a good job of managing their lineup," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
