Hudson Rips 2 Home Runs in 8-2 Knickerbockers Triumph
The home crowd had a good time watching the Cincinnati Packers and New York Knickerbockers get after it.

Led by Steve Hudson, the New York Knickerbockers downed the Cincinnati Packers, 8-2. Hudson hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Knickerbockers. The win lifted the New York record to 82-65.

Rick Hotz took Cincinnati hurler Fernando Lopez deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Knickerbockers on top, 3-0. In all, Hotz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

New York manager Timothy Widholm was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
